However, all of us need to practise social distancing with the advent of Covid-19.
If it’s difficult for you to return I will be using tele-health to communicate with you. It is ideal after a MTOP to have a check-up in about 2 weeks. The 2 week check is to make sure there is no tissue left in (retained products of conception, 1-9/100), infection (1/300), continuing pregnancy (1/100), and to make sure there are no psychological problems and contraception has been sorted.
If pain and bleeding hasn’t completely settled there may be a problem. This is fixable. A pregnancy test will frequently be positive at 2-3 weeks. Almost always it is negative at 6 weeks.
MTOP Patients need to see me 2-3 weeks from the first appointment. If you can’t get to a check up appointment let the clinic know and I will phone you.
If you have any concerns you can phone me on 0408 618 226. As I can be busy, texting can be quicker otherwise you can email me at sue@mfwc.com.au

It is a good idea to have a check up in 4-6 weeks. The check is to make sure there is no infection, no expulsion and no perforation and there are no other problems.
Most problems happen at the beginning and are fixable.
